He has specializations in Climate Resilient & Sustainable Livelihoods with a thrust on regenerative agriculture, sustainable value chain, facilitating capacity building for multiple stakeholders, developing knowledge products, and creating value networks for achieving larger developmental goals.
He has chosen the Development sector as his career choice since the early days of his professional life. He has worked at grassroots implementation; played intermediary support roles; and facilitated development programs at the organizational and national levels in some of the renowned development organizations like PRADAN, DAY-NRLM, Aga Khan Rural Support Programme (India), Coastal Salinity Prevention Cell (CSPC), TechnoServe, E&Y, AKEPB, ANANDI, MART, Gram Vikas, CRISP, Care-India for program facilitation and project evaluation. Currently, he is based in Delhi.
Sheena Kapoor
Sheena Kapoor has close to 11 years of work experience in the domain of monitoring and evaluation. Her key areas of expertise include qualitative and quantitative research along with program management, implementation, and training & capacity building of cadre. She has been involved in preparing data collection tools, data management, data cleaning, validation, analysis and report writing. Being an M&E professional. She has experience in undertaking international assignments in Cambodia, Nepal and Kenya. She has also been awarded the youngest researcher award in the world by the International AIDS conference on COVID-19 in 2020. Academically, she has earned a post- graduate degree in Rural Management from Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar. She has also completed a course on Fundamentals of Gender Transformative Evaluation by ISST.
Sadique Akhtar
Sadique Akhtar is a distinguished professional with a robust educational background and extensive experience in the realms of agriculture and rural development. He obtained his Masters in Rural Development from Xavier Institute of Social Services, with a specialized focus on Project Management. Additionally, he holds a Masters in Applied Agricultural Economics from Oklahoma State University, USA, solidifying his expertise in the field.
With a commendable track record spanning 18 years, Sadique has demonstrated unparalleled proficiency in various facets of agriculture and rural development. His areas of specialization include project management, project financing, and the meticulous monitoring and assessment of agricultural value chains. These specialized skills underscore his ability to orchestrate and execute development initiatives with precision and efficacy.
Beyond his national engagements with both governmental and non-governmental sectors, Sadique Akhtar has also undertaken numerous assignments in diverse international settings, including Bangladesh, Nepal, Ghana, and Egypt.
Vivek Sinha
Vivek leads the Fund Manager team for the Grant in Agroecology Programme (GAP) that is implementing the IFAD assisted Investments in Agroecological Value Chain Project. He is a development professional with a rich and varied experience of more than 35 years. Prior to joining Access, he worked for NABARD and retired as the Chief General Manager (CGM) in charge of the Department of Refinance, the largest business vertical of NABARD. His areas of expertise include development finance, climate finance, credit planning, institutional development, microfinance, policy planning and credit appraisal. He has also served as a Faculty at the Bankers Institute of Rural Development (BIRD) and headed the Zonal Office of the NABARD Consultancy Services. He has served on the Board of the MCX, Uttaranchal Gramin Bank, Bhagirathi Gramin Bank and the NBCFDC. Vivek holds a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from the Faculty of Management Studies (FMS), New Delhi and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Delhi University.
